International activity of BTEU aims at improving the system of education at the University through studying the advanced experience of foreign universities, and attracting additional financing for the University development.

   To make the University advance on the World Educational Arena and improve the effectiveness of the international activity the International Relations Department (in continuation - IRD) was set up at the University in 2001.

      Major activities of IRD are the following:

Creating a favourable image of the University at the international level

Export of educational services

Analysis, selection and distribution of information about opportunities of studying and working abroad and other information concerned with international activity.

Participation in international educational, cultural, scientific programmes and projects

Organization of international events and receiving international delegations

Cooperation with international organizations and associations

Research work

International cooperation with other universities

Coordination of international activity of other departments of the University
